Shipyard nails

Shipyard nails are large nails with a square shank with a highly elongated pyramidal shape. In shipyards, the galvanised forged nails are mainly used to assemble planks on the frames of wooden boats for their construction or restoration.

To give them maximum longevity, we apply a surface treatment of zinc with hot-dip galvanizing of at least 70 microns.

Due to their high roughness, galvanized Carvelle nails have a very important resistance to tearing.

These nails are also used in the construction of pontoons and jetties.

As an alternative to hot-dip galvanizing, these products are also available to you either in raw steel or in blued steel.
