Shipyard nails

Shipyard nails are large nails with a square shaft and a very elongated pyramidal shape. In shipyards, the galvanised forged nails are mainly used to assemble the planks on the frames of wooden boats for their construction or restoration.

In order to give them maximum longevity, we apply a zinc surface treatment with hot-dip galvanizing of at least 70 microns.

Due to their high roughness, galvanized carvelle nails have a very high pull-out resistance.

These nails also find their use in the construction of pontoons and jetties.

Instead of hot-dip galvanizing, these products are also available in either raw steel or blued steel.
