Characteristics

Our square nail with diamond head copperred is used for assembling planks on wooden boat hulls. The finish is made with counter rivets.

Shank diameter: 2 mm
Nail length: 25 mm

Head : Diamond
Head diameter: 5.8 mm

Copper nails are sold in boxes of 1 kg.

Riveting technique: installation of square copper nails and their cups:

1. Pre-drill the wood with a diameter slightly smaller than the nail diameter.

2. Completely drive in the square nail, ensuring it protrudes out the other side.

3. Place the counter-rivet cup on the point and hammer it in with a setting tool, hole side, so the nail passes through it.

4. Once the cup is fully seated, trim the excess, leaving a small length equivalent to the nail's section size.

5. To properly set the rivet, compress its head to prevent it from protruding, then hammer on the part sticking out of the cup on the opposite side.

6. Initially, lightly hammer the rivet to warm the copper, then strike it with the hemispherical part of the setting tool to solidify the assembly.
